Prior to entering the knife world, Scott Gallagher worked in plumbing and air conditioning for over four decades. In 2014, Scott was introduced to knife-making — and he has never looked back. It was his friend, Any Coleman, who introduced Scott to Master Smith, John White. Mr. White inspired Scott to take his first introductory class to knife-making. After this introduction, the American Bladesmith Society and the Master Smith's taught him the ends and outs of producing quality field and collector knives.
Today, Scott has achieved Journeyman Smith status with the American Bladesmith Society. He is passionate about his place in the knife community, noting how supportive and family-like his fellow knife enthusiasts are. He finds great peace in knife creation and truly loves the craft. It is this passion that has propelled Scott to win several awards for his quality work.
